Good Eating
Sometimes I dismay at how many tablets people take. Australians spend billions of dollars a year on vitamin and mineral supplementation yet vitamins and minerals come from food. If you want the good benefits of fruits and vegetables, you have to eat them. (Sorry to state the obvious)
Certain conditions do need dietary supplements such as Folic acid for pregnancy and Iron for vegans to prevent anemia and Calcium for those who do not consume dairy food.
I have found a great site about minerals which I think is good because it explains the food source for each mineral. For example did you know that Calcium is not just found in milk, cheese and yoghurt it is also in almonds, sesame seeds, broccoli, brussels sprouts, chinese cabbage, salmon, sardines and hummus.
Wishing you good health.
