Feldenkrais method of physical education?
The Feldenkrais method, is a physical educational system designed to improve movement patterns and function. Forty years of research, by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, led to this revolutionary approach to understanding human functioning. 

Learning to move with less effort makes daily life easier. The Feldenkrais Method focuses on the relationship between movement and thought and is taught through gentle movement exploration.The classes explore and bring improvement in movement, posture and breathing which has the ability to improve all aspects of life.
Feldenkrais work is presented in Awareness Through Movement classes and private sessions. Certified practitioners have graduated from training programs approved by the Feldenkrais Guild. The practitioner verbally guides students through a sequence of movements and suggests movement possibilities. When you do a class you become aware of habitual patterns of moving and you find new options, easier ways of moving in everyday activities which improve overall well being. Feldenkrais utilizes our natural abilities to learn, to change and to continue to grow throughout our lives.

  2. Hi! This is interesting information . . . our bodies were designed for movement and when we stop moving, especially due to pain, we are sent into a downward spiral of increasing pain. Gentle movement is beneficial, because there are fewer injuries related to gentle movement as opposed to extreme sports! Ha! Hoping your day is Good! Warmly, Valda

    1. Hi Valda, Yes, I agree with you, I always tell my children we are meant to be digging in the fields etc. and yes unfortunately bad ways of moving due to pain etc also seem to cause more pain as you say.
